After earning my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and Motor Behavior from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas in 2006, I continued my education at Texas Chiropractic College, where I received my Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree in 2010. I am proudly board certified by the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners. For over six years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a certified Designated Doctor with the Texas Department of Insurance, as well as an expert witness and medical peer reviewer. This experience has greatly expanded my clinical and diagnostic expertise. Throughout my 13 years in practice, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a wide range of clinical settings, including treating work and auto injuries, providing care for families and children, specializing in sports medicine, and offering functional and nutritional counseling. I hold dual certifications in Functional Medicine from both Functional Medicine University (CFMP) and the Functional Medicine Academy (FMACP). I’m deeply passionate about holistic medicine and believe in listening to the body’s unique story, then interpreting that story to guide the path to healing. With over 13 years of experience as a Chiropractor and Holistic Health Provider, my journey into Functional Medicine started after I was personally diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). I spent two years caught in the cycle of conventional medicine, seeking relief but finding none. I was always told the same things: “It’s your genes,” “It can’t be reversed,” and “You’ll have to battle this condition forever.” The idea that I would live in pain for the rest of my life was a terrifying reality. But I realized, that’s not living—it’s merely surviving. I knew there had to be a better way, a way to address the root cause and truly heal. By the time I found Functional Medicine, I was taking 12 different medications, had gained 55 pounds, and was struggling with eczema, chronic insomnia, and constant fatigue. To make matters worse, I was also dealing with infertility, which was incredibly heartbreaking. I had lost touch with the vibrant person I once was—this was my rock-bottom moment Functional Medicine truly transformed my life. For the first time, I felt like I was regaining control. My provider was able to connect the dots between my symptoms, diet, and lifestyle choices, revealing the imbalances that needed to be addressed. We uncovered the root cause of my IBS and corrected it. This experience was nothing short of life-changing, and I credit my Functional Medicine provider with saving my life. Many people turn to Functional Medicine providers as a final step, after feeling like they’ve gone around in circles with conventional approaches. They spend years searching for answers, only to reach a point where they’re ready to take control of their health again—just like in my case. I’m here to listen to your full story, understand the journey that brought you here, and then work together to identify the imbalances in your body that need attention.
