        About

Hello! My name is Emily Ortiz and I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist! I'm so happy to welcome you, work with you, and be here to witness your successes. Success can look like many things in the world of nutrition, such as improved labs, reduction of symptoms, making dietary changes, building new habits, and even just adding 1 more fruit per day. Actually, my favorite part of working with clients is getting down to the nitty-gritty of behavior changes, like adding that new fruit each day. These behavior changes will be the stepping stones to meeting your ultimate goals! I grew up in rural Arizona where I was able to learn about where my food comes from and quickly grew an appreciation for fresh food and home-cooked meals. Ultimately, I completed both my Bachelor Degree and Masters Degree in Nutrition at Arizona State University where I was able to learn from Sport's Dietitians, Professors studying the microbiome, and understand our body systems as a whole. The human body is a complex organism and it should be treated as such. There can be so many intricacies to our health and wellness and I knew early on that an integrative and functional approach is the only answer to feeling and looking our best. I myself have struggled with obtaining a diagnosis and receiving effective treatment for Endometriosis. After my first laparoscopic surgery, I knew I wanted to do what I could through holistic approaches to my nutrition and wellness to alleviate this condition. I know how hard it can be to find effective information, make the changes, and sustain them.! So, together we will collaborate to build a personalized treatment plan for you to not only feel better, but also to increase your confidence in your own health and nutrition! From chronic conditions and symptoms, autoimmune diagnoses, optimal living, or even just general health, I am here to support you. Even if you 'know what you need to do', but can't seem to change your behaviors OR if nutrition is a new concept for you - we will walk that journey together. I look forward to meeting you!
